maybe...

In Mary Shelly's Frankenstein, scientist Victor creates a larger-than-life man who raises from the laboratory table after months of agonizing labor and creation. After Victor's trial and errors of creation, Frankenstein slowly lifts himself up as Victor screams, It's alive! It's alive! In [less] dramatic fashion I had a similar moment when Nate Sees from Sparrow Visual emailed me to tell me my website was live.

I stood up from my desk, shook my hair in psychotic fashion, and yelled, It's alive! It's alive! Okay, okay, so maybe I'm being dramatic, but it was still a great feeling.

I want to use this opportunity to admit that I'm not anyone special or cool or smart [insert gasp here]. I'm just a girl from the ghetto who God has chosen to use. I'm still working, serving, teaching, and learning from my church in East Lost Angeles, but He has taken this ghetto girl around the country to share His truths.

Since God is a God of excellence, I found the need to aptly represent him and not look like a hustler on Pico Avenue selling Folex (fake Rolex) watches out of the trunk. People ask me to speak, teach, write, rap (well... maybe not rap) about God but I have nothing to make me look legit... like I should be there... like I believe that God called me to do this. Now, as humble as the website is, I feel legit. Like maybe I can do this. Like maybe God is fulfilling His promises. Like maybe God has plans for me; plans of good and not of evil to give me a future and a hope (Preach it, Jeremiah!).

Today my maybe is a yes. I stand on 2 Corinthians 1:20 as Paul states: All promises in God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we can utter our Amen to God for his glory.

Amen!

I'm so happy for you that I'm sporting a kool-aid smile in front on my screen! Yes, I look silly! You are taking a step of faith that most of us (atleast me) sit around and wish for.

As your NEW season begins I know that God is going to stretch his in your life to a WHOLE new level. This new level is going to be create a huge ripple for all woman across the nation (yes, NATION) to love, beleive, trust, and grow in faith more. God is going to anoint you to create a path for many more women to stand up for Jesus and proclaim His name.

Loving you and praying for you.

The site is SO purdy! I travelled over here from Jasmine's blog, and as she has been known to say that you are the nicer of the two, I think I might stop following her blog and switch to yours. (Kidding....I'll just read both!!!!) :D

This is such a neat treat for me. First, Praise God for being a God of details. Just like I tell your sister, YOU ROCK! But like in a different way. The world is too small. I'm an aspiring photographer and lately God has just been opening doors left and right, making the begining of this journey unmistakablely His will for my life. To make a long story short, a local photography raved about Jasmine, so I checked out her blog (LOVE HER and her work ROCKS too!: ]) And so then I saw her blog on you and was led to your website. (which ROCKS cause I love God, and love what you do) But lo and behold as I was reading your references section, I saw your fathers post and yelled to my husband in the shower. "isn't the first speaker at your Pastor's conference next week Pancho Juarez??" Holy Moly! What a small world. So basicly like your whole family ROCKS in my opinion : ] hehe. Anyways, I have no doubt in my mind that God will use you to do many great things in this life. Our trials are not delivered to us for the sake of breaking us down. On the contrary, Romans 8:27-29. Personally I've been clinging to this one lately. His word says "For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all." 2 Corinthians 4:17. Keep proclaiming your love for Christ, and rocking his name for his glory girl. Now I'll be following your blog along with Jasmine's. I've tld Jasmine she's my inspiration in the photography industry, and now I've found you : ] Thank God she posted about your website even though she says you wanted you not to ; ] Be blessed,
Heather Corporan NH

hi!
did you know Christ came to this earth, the Creator of the universe, and died for you? He died for you because he loved you before he created the universe. we are completely lost and sinners but sometimes we are blind to this. i want to tell you the truth. if you believe in Him and confess your sins and live for Him, you will spend eternity with Him who choose you to be His child from before the foundations of the earth.
He is the Treasure! the only thing eternal.:) We have hope in Him.
P.S. i love your blog.

Just wanted to let you know how awesome this is....what you are doing for your love for Jesus. I talk to teens too. Share my past, my pain, my bad decisions and the redemptive love of Christ, how he has returned double blessings for what satan has stolen.
He is an amazing and wild God.
I love him fiercely.

Just wanted to say
Congrats!!!
You know, God works in ways that we don't understand but once we say YES to His will and let Him do the choosing and leading life feels complete.
God brought me from Brazil 9 years ago to walk the path He had for me and not the one I had planned and it's been amazing.
Just keep doing what you've been doing...allowing His hands to use you.
God bless You!!!
