revelations to revolutions...

Last night I met with two wonderful girls from Wonderfully Made to discuss stories about life, Internet friendships, and changing the world one day at a time. These amazing women are starting conferences on college campuses and churches with the sole ambition of reminding girls that no matter who you are or what you look like, you're wonderfully made.

Kayla is bubbly and chipper and beautiful inside and out. Allie is honest and kind and strong, yet soft spoken. Over her ahi salad and ice water, Kayla asked me how my Biblical Living challenge was going. I paused for a second then blurted out that I'm totally a pharisee and had a huge revelation while in Chicago last week. I decided that maybe I should share it here as well.

I wasn't going to post anything about this challenge anymore but I think I should chronicle the revelation I had and share it with the blogosphere. If anything else, I'm documenting my committment to love like Jesus loved, live like Jesus lived, and touch like Jesus touched.

This was so touching. It's my first time commenting (I don't have anything interesting to say), but I really liked this VBlog. I want to join the revolution!

Your comment, "bar the saving grace of Jesus Christ, I can never ever claim Christianity," was really humbling. As was the vulnerability you showed in the post. Thank you for all of it!

Tears in my eyes right now. You're so right. It begins with a change in my heart after reading the word of God that results in a change in my life.

Thanks for your humility. I hope you know that even though I only met you that one day, I can see Jesus in you before you spoke a word. Hearing you speak at our women's retreat was amazing and I am so glad to have been able to hear what you had to say. Take encouragement that you bless so many whether you realize it or not! You are the hands and feet to others around you. Thanks for your openness in that video blog. Gives all of us something to chew on!

Who I really owe a debt of thanks to are you guys! I'm learning to be okay with not having all the answers, not being perfect, and not being a righteous pompous fool. I appreciate you all :)

Woman! You had me all up in tears! :) Because I realize we are so deeply loved by a Savior who has given us the crown of righteousness and the power of the Holy Spirit to live a life filled with Jesus and the grace and mercy of his outstretched hand to carry us through this life...

oh, how swwweeet it is to simply be at the foot of the Cross.

Oh and I've heard of wonderfully made and visited their site before but am not too familiar with their work...can't wait to dig a little deeper and see what they are up to!

Blessings and hugs...

Thanks for your video and your honesty. Your revelation is just what we have been going through over here as a church and our desire to actually go out and be God's hands and feet has grown so much through our realisation of His grace and love for us and for others.
I'm looking forward to being a part of the Love Revolution! :)

Thank you - for your honesty, and humility, and your love - of Jesus and others. When your heart is right, when your heart is with God, I think that makes all the difference. I love coming here and reading and rethinking how I act towards others and honor God.

Also looking forward to checking out wonderfully made!

Bring it Bianca!

I love this--especially the "I think I can, I think I can" part. We think that things are about us making ourselves or willing ourselves to be more Christ-like, when truly the only way that even begins to happen is through the renewing work of the Holy Spirit. We're so hopeless with Him.

Really, all the things we say and things we think are the "lamest and most asinine" so don't worry! :)

PS. Can't wait for you to BRING IT like this at the retreat. Hollllla!

Through my tears, I hear you. I want to change the world & doing so starts with doing the things I can do so God can do the things I can't do.

Where's my tissues?!
