manicotti...

I needed some comfort food yesterday because I was extremely nervous about the series. Thankfully, my womb-mate had left over manicotti that we warmed up and ate heartily! In light of the wonderful time meeting and ministering to over 400 women, I've attached a new video clip that Denny from Bridgeport Productions complied about my love affair with manicotti :)

Once again, for those who tuned in last night for our live webcast and didn't get audio, I'm SO sorry! But the good news is IT is posted the vodcast here. Just click on the link that says, One-Click Subscription (it's uploaded on our side, but iTunes is taking a minute). Or you can download it instantaneously by following the manual subscription! You'll see the link for the Seven Deadly Sins.

Life isn't fair. You're the nice and holy one...and I make manicotti. Yes, it's better than yours, but that sill doesn't seem too equal.

Great job last night! :)

Hey Bianca first off i want to say that I think what you are doing is a beautiful thing. The seven deadly sins are a list originally used in early Christian teachings to educate and instruct followers concerning fallen man's tendency to sin. The misconception about the list of seven “deadly” sins is that they are sins that God will not forgive. The Bible is clear that the only sin God will not forgive is that of continued unbelief, because it rejects the only means to obtain forgiveness—Jesus Christ and His substitutionary death on the cross.

Is the idea of seven deadly sins biblical? Yes and no. Proverbs 6:16-19 declares, “There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him: 1) haughty eyes, 2) a lying tongue, 3) hands that shed innocent blood, 4) a heart that devises wicked schemes, 5) feet that are quick to rush into evil, 6) a false witness who pours out lies, and 7) a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.” However, this list is not what most people understand as the seven deadly sins.

Listed in the same order by both Pope Gregory the Great in the 6th century, the seven deadly sins are as follows: pride, envy, gluttony, lust, anger, greed, and sloth. Although these are undeniably sins, they are never given the description of "the seven deadly sins" in the Bible. The traditional list of seven deadly sins can function as a good way to categorize the many different sins that exist. Nearly every kind of sin could be placed under one of the seven categories. More importantly, we must realize these seven sins are no more “deadly” than any other sin. All sin results in death (Romans 6:23). Praise be to God, that through Jesus Christ, all of our sins, including the “seven deadly sins,” can be forgiven (Matthew 26:28; Acts 10:43; Ephesians 1:7).

Curtis, Bianca explained the logic and reasoning for the topic/series at her first class and said everything you did (actually it was in 480 so that would make it the 5th century, not 6th).
You should listen to her study when it's ready on iTunes. It'll clarify in detail so you don't have to do the oppoosite of Matthew 18:15.

@I Named Your Dog: You love my conservative/liberalism!!! Don't front. Secondly, get a blog! You're hilarious and you already got like 50 profile views just from here!
@Frances, I forgot I made Boricua food for you!!! Yum. Miss you.
@Anonymous and Curtis: Let's just all get along :) Curtis, Anon is right. I did TOTALLY clarify that it's not doctrine or dogma :) PS My research led me to a document dated in 480AD, so it would be the 5th century :) Thanks for fighting for the purity of the gospel.
