100 word wednesday: truth...

The thing about truth that is most annoying is that it is true, making anything that contradicts it false. Christ is either God incarnate, risen from the dead, or He is not. There is no halfway position here. If he is not, then His teaching hold no more authority than those of Confucius, Tupac, or Oprah. We can take them or leave them.

But if Christ is God, it changes everything—there is nothing more important, more authoritative, or more central to the human race, to the way we live our lives, and to our very understanding of the world. Christ is an all-or-nothing proposition, and one way or another, every one of us has already made a choice about Him. We have either committed our lives to Him whole-heartedly, or we have not.*

Which lends me to ask, if Christ's claims are true, what are you doing about it?

To answer your Q, I'm trying to change my entire life to be on the path God wants it to be on. It's been very hard.

"Well, it's either true or false. If it's false, we're engaged in a great fraud. If it's true, it's the most important thing in the world."

Jason: You're doing the most important thing of your life. Fight the good fight, friend! Yes, it's very hard so partner up with others who are willing to do life with you. I'm TOTALLY praying for you!

Tiff: I'm SO stealing that quote!

"If Jesus is the truth
That means one of us is VERY wrong
Think about it."

Based on my former love for Tupac (I know... crazy chick!), this is from one of my favorite songs "Rebel" from Lacrae. Everytime I hear this line, I just nod my head and am overwhelmed at how many people don't "get" it. I'm praying that I will somehow be an example of THIS truth.

Annie!! That Rebel Intro is crazy. That has been in heavy rotation for me since it dropped last yr.

One of my fav lines from Lecrae that speaks volumes:

Your money your singleness marriage talent and time/ they were loaned to you to show the world that Christ is Divine/ that's why it's Christ in my rhymes/ That's why it's Christ all the time/see my whole world is built around him He's the life in my lines/ I refused to waste my life/ he's too true ta chase that ice/ here's my gifts and time cause I'm constantly trying to be used to praise the Christ/ If he's truly raised to life/ then this news should change your life/ and by his grace you can put your faith in place that rules your days and nights.

As for me....It's CHRIST all the Time!

This is what separates the real from the questionable. And this is what makes people think we're either legit or some sort of fanatical mess. If someone doesn't believe in God...then EVERYTHING we say is irrelevant. Because how can we combat their philosophies with God's word if they don't believe in any of it. I experienced this recently with a few of my agnostic friends. They could sit for hours and ponder questions & ideas & give example of example of why they believe what they do and have philosphy after philosophy of proof. The instance I explain what I believe, they throw the stone of "well, we don't believe in God or the bible being God's word...so you have no SOLID examples or solid substance to what you are saying. That's the ONLY example you have & it doesn't hold water."

It's a shame, but this is the reality of why more times than not christians/believers are not taken seriously. Or told we're foolish & blind. Praise God he's the one who opens eyes because I would have given up a long time ago on people like them if I had to convince them myself. But, in light of who I am in Christ...I have to be legit in how I live. I have to be real. I have to be the real deal. Because maybe they don't believe in God's word...but they'll know that I was a person of value because I never waivered on my faith & I knew what I believed & lived it out.

Honestly nothing. I just know God but i don't know how to live like him wiht his true!! I know shame on me, may be trying to be a better person helps?

what are you doing about it?

I make it my aim in life to share Jesus. And I have found that the best way is by not using words. If what I do doesn't point to Jesus, than what's the point!?

We're human beings not human doings, because Jesus did it and doesn't need to do it again... we can fully rest in HIS love! Yay! What a gift! :D But "resting" in his love just gives us the desire to do great things for his kingdom (even though he did the greatest thing) including helping/loving on others! Rock!

Bianca... It's like a fat kid in a candy store... your dad owns the store and you can eat everything in it! And he wants us to invite others in! It's just a bummer when the kid doesn't realize his freedom in the candy store, makes his own rules outside his fathers wishes about the candy store, doesn't have fun in it, and never invites anyone in to join him :/ Aw poops. That is my educated answer.
