things i've learned in 29 years of life...

Today marks the day I'm officially... [cough, cough, swallow]... mature. Maybe this means I have to stop singing and dancing wildly in my car. Or stifling my raucous laugh with a dainty hand covered in a Victorian glove. Or wearing walking shoes. Or maybe this means I'm full of sage wisdom.

What God? What are you telling me? Oh, it means I'm full of sage wisdom? Greaaaaat! I'll impart my knowledge of the last couple years...

*When you learn an American idiom, don't try it out. When someone says, It's like spitting in the wind, what they mean is, don't be stupid and try it.
*Don't steal gum--or anything--in front of my mother. Piety overwhelms her and she'll march you right on over to the manager and make you tell him you stole a package of watermelon flavored Bubblicious gum. Hypothetically, of course!
*Make friends who are better than you or possess strength in your areas of weakness. You'll be like the Greek phalanx; better together than separate.
*If at all possible, get a twin. You can blame them if you're wrong, play with them when you're bored, and steal clothes when necessary.
*Don't EVER date a lead singer in a band. They'll be more in love with themselves than you'll ever be. You're welcome.
*Date someone who is super clean so they'll take care of the household chores, while you watch trashy reality television. [Just kidding, Matt! Well, half kidding.]
*Do what you're inspired to do. Even if you think you're not good at it. It may not be a lucrative profession, but in the end, it's better to fail at something you love than succeed at something you hate. Truth.
*Read your bible daily!

If you have any advice to add, feel free to! For those older than I, pour out your wisdom :) I need it.

Happy Birthday Bianca. Thank you for sharing your life with all of us. For me, turning 30 was good. I finally feel like a grown up.....most of the time.

Hi Bianca,
Happy Birthday, I wish you all the best...(and your sister)...

...and ever ever stay with your heart, whatever your heart says is right. Don't do anything only because you get a lot of money for. When your heart is against this, you will regret it...believe me...

With all my Love,
Markus :-)

Some birthday wisdom for you from an old geezer...

If someone says they're a pastor but is rude to their waitress, they're not a pastor.

The path to delusion is lined with people who wouldn't listen to trusted friends.

There will always be people who identify as Christians who won't forgive. You can't waste your energy trying to force them to do it.

No one believes it was really the dog.

Or the chair.

Find an open mic night where aspiring artists are playing...use it to remind yourself of the power of letting your passion drive you.

If you give up your integrity, it won't matter that you were trying to avoid hurting someone's feelings.

Happy birthday, Bianca.

hahaha - don't date a lead singer. I have discovered they personality types of the different players in a band. There's the lead singer, the drummer, the bass player, the backup vocal - each with unique attributes. And then there are the personalities of the women that date/marry these guys. It's pretty funny, and for the sake of my safety in the band, I'll keep my mouth shut now. :)
Happy birthday!! My word of advice is if you aren't going to care in a couple days, quit fighting about it now.

Almost from my 29 birthday until 30 birthday I was scared and unhappy about number of 30. I even didn´t want to hear about this "number", but when my 30 birthday came, I was unexpectedly ok :-) And nothing change, so enjoy it, life is beautiful with God and no matter how YOUNG!!! we are :-))

I'm a lead singer in a band Bianca. Lol. I would NOT say that I am in love with myself at all.

But, thank you for steering everyone clear away from my direction. Lol.

Happy B-Day.

Blessings to you and Jasmine for your birthday!

As women walking the path of life to the promise land remember, you are transitionally a character in Titus 2, which and in what season, God will reveal.

From Pastor Greg Laurie: "Doubt your Doubts...Believe your Beliefs"

Nehemiah 8:12
Then all the people went away to eat and drink, to send portions of food and to celebrate with great joy, because they now understood the words that had been made known to them.

Happy Bday Ms.Bianca!

so your calling me old huh?...lets see, age old wisdom...

Read your Bible like your life depends on it..mine does.

Love..love..love..
Love like no one is watching,
love like you've been hurt a million times,
forget the million times and continue to Love. Laugh. Live. Embrace each day to its fullest.
Keep trecking when stomped on, you never know who is watching your next move. Did I mention to Love. Love big, warmly and openly

P.s...I did the gum thing with my kids!

Love always,
anna peavy

Happy Birthday to an incredibly inspiring woman! I am SO glad that you are using your gifts to glorify God and encourage us. I am daily blessed by it.

As far as thoughts/advice ...I love sharing this little story to those turning 30. When I was 16 I worked in a very posh senior home. I loved to "survey" them and ask questions/advice about life. One day I decided to start asking what their favorite age was, of course thinking the answer would be "21", the age I was SO looking forward to. But each answer surprised me. I asked 10 people and each person said an age in their 30's. Dumbfounded I decided to "interview" everyone in the home (all 250 residents). So I did, and about 90% of them said, "my 30's." So, Bianca, welcome to the best years of your life! God has so much in store for you! ;)

I turned 30 in November, and the best advice I can give you with my 5 months of maturity is this...
You'll never be old if you are truly young at heart. Just a little known fact.
Be blessed and enjoy your 30's... so far so good for me.

Happy Birthday Bianca! I just turned 30 a couple of weeks ago, I kicked of my 30's by creating a 101 in 1001 list. One which included reading the entire Bible :)

You're a blessing...may you be extra blessed on this milestone birthday!
