happy birthday jesus...

It's my party and I'll cry if I want to, cry if I want, cry if I want to. You would cry too if it happened to you. --Leslie Gore, 1966

I'm staring at the plastic Santa, inflatable Snoopy house, and mechanical deers on my neighbors lawn wondering how Baby Jesus didn't get invited to the lawn party. I don't get it. It's Jesus' birthday party and he doesn't even get an invite?!

Please invite Jesus to your lawn parties, family parties, Christmas parties, but more importantly, invite him into your life. Allow him to permeate your life every day, every way. It is then and only then your Christmas will be merry, your holidays happy, and your life purposeful.

Isaiah 9:6, For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Well, we don't actually have proof that Jesus even existed. Just a bunch of mumbo jumbo in a book that has been re-written about 5,000 times to suit certain agenda's.

Yes, you do not get it. But there is always hope for you.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Oh no! Okay... I seriously feel a tad bit guilty for posting a Christmas tree lights tour display on my blog... (er, uh, hugh hefner and laker outfitted reindeers included) but I do promise Jesus IS the reason for the season!

:)

Much love,
Melissa

I couldn't agree with you more! Every Christmas since I was a child, I've looked forward to celebrating Jesus' birthday...not the overweight old man who breaks in to stranger's nights in hopes that we were "good" enough to get presents. I join you in celebrating this very special birth, the one who freed us from being "good enough".

Hi B!! Merry Christmas!! YES! Happy Birthday Jesus! Love ya girl!

I am so thankful there IS proof that Jesus existed!

@Just saying...if you seek you will find. Read a "Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel who is a Journalist that is a former athiest. He tried to prove Jesus' didn't exist or is not the Son of God and with all of the evidence, came to accept Jesus as his Lord and Savior. There is also Jewish (i.e. Non-Christian) historian by the name of Flavius Josephus. The evidence is out there for you to discover or you can sincerely ask Jesus to reveal himself to you and He will.

Have a Merry CHRISTmas-for without Jesus, there is no Christmas.

@ Bianca....

a. "malice" not a mean bone in my body. ask anyone.

b. "thought out" Ha ha ha ha! Good one! w*nk! LOL! :)

c. "historically supported" Now this is where it gets a little gray because one persons "history" is another persons "his story".
You mean I can't switch Easter for Christmas to make a point? That was a good post. I have found that book burning is best done in a barrel with air holes for ventilation on the sides.

I hope I can still go out and play at recess! Ha!

Merry Christmas!

A Decade is about to End! We all look at history and remember our pasts in 10 year blocks! 70's, 80's, 90's etc.... I say good ridens to the first 10 years of this 2'nd Century after the death of Jesus!

So, because "we" base our calendar on Jesus does that mean that those who are not Christens are considered lesser in the worlds eyes? And does that feed into the hate towards Christens by some?

Bianca,
Thank you for your blog today. Loved it!

Thank you God for giving this world the greatest gift ever--your son Jesus Christ.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,for whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
Jn 3:16-18

B-
I gotta post a picture of our Happy Birthday Jesus cake. It started off just being an average cake...but for Jesus...my husband just had to make it special! He turned into the Cake Boss trying to make this cake!
Yes, lets definitely keep the CHRIST in Christmas!!! For without Him...there would definitely be little to celebrate...
