100 word wedneday: be a realist...

The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. 1 Timothy 1:15

Paul was a student of his heart. He paid attention to the desires and impulses that churned within. I don't think it's a stretch to say that he knew he was capable--given the right circumstances--of the worst of sins and vilest of motives.

Paul was a realist. He wanted to see God and himself truly. No hiding behind a facade of pleasantness or religiosity for him. When we take a look within, let's be realistic. What's lurking in the crevices of our shady heart? Be a realist.

YES! Need to allow Jesus into every room in my heart - need to surrender them daily.
The door that leads to sin is always open for business it seems - I imagine it to be one of those revolving doors that are very tempting to step into and spin around in for a while. Better to stay away and not get dizzy from the spinning.

Awesome Wed blog.

Nooooo, i don't want to:) just kidding...

It is so hard sometimes to look within...it's easy to fool yourself into thinking that you are ok, or a good person, or not as bad as the next...but it's just an illusion...

Lord please help me see the things I need to work on and change...refine me and make me pure...

In my "shady" heart ive hidden pain and a strong impulse to protect myself (read over-protect myself) like a rabid beast. Yup pretty intense, Im working on it. NO I mean He's working on it and Im allowing it :)

B...Can I say that I hate 100 word Wednesday's? That's what lurks in my shady heart! LOL j/k But that's ONLY because I love the way you write and I can't get enough of it. So ditch the 100 word Wednesdays and how about 5000 word Wednesdays? LOL Love ya girl!

I agree that 100 word wednesdays are challanging! But then thats my own desire to stay selfish and be in control rather than giving over to God.

Love your blog B, it's a great witness to Christ and the realities of Christian living in this day!

God bless

Loved that.

PS. I've learned to read the labels on your blogs. "Like MJ said- look at the man in the mirror." Hilarious!

Heeeyyyy... James said that way before MJ (James 1:22-25) and it's totally relevent to this post. Love this, B. Although it will be difficult, I sooo want to be a realist! ;)

Thanks, y'all! I appreciate the love.

Wednesday are a writing exercize for me... you should try to write one full thought in 100 words or less! It's tough. Ok, ok, I post 112 words today. Eh, who cares?

@kati: My labels are intentional. Why should I organize my blogs when I don't organize my shoes, ya know? :)

Being the college graduate that I am, I failed until now to realize that the blogs on Wednesday were actually 100 words, hence the title "100 word wednesday"...dude I'm a dork. Anyhow, I love this. Our pastor was talking last night about how we are harsh to judge others but easy to dismiss our own thoughts and behaviors. So true that we need to look inward and take true inventory of what is in our heart! Thanks!
love it <3

Love it more and more each day. The more criticism comes, you KNOW that our GOD is working! Using this forum to reach, transform and fill those of us who are still "under construction!" Keep it up B! Keep it real. Your Blog helps me. I have used it as a ref. tool many times.

xoxo it! ap
