seeing jesus...

in weathered hands asking for spare change, see jesus. in manicured hands with beautiful rings, see jesus.
in vaccuous eyes, hallow and empty, see jesus. in tear-filled eyes, joyous and hopeful, see jesus.
in fine suits, imported and tailored, see jesus. in tattered punk-printed shirts, dark and angry, see jesus.

I want to want God. I long to long for Him. I need to need Him. So I may love to love Him.

If we take the time to see the imprint of the Creator ingrained in every being, we will love our neighbors like we love Christ. The station in life shouldn't matter. The color of one's skin should be irrelevant. The financial wherewithal of man is vanity. The only thing that should be considered is if we are loving man like we love God.

I have a question for you...ok if you read John 5; it talks about Jesus going to the pool of bethesda...he asks the man do you want to be well...then heals him. So my question is what about the rest of the people there?? There were many people who were crippled, and right there when Jesus comes and heals this man, right in front of them, why don't they stop him? Wouldn't you be shouting or doing anything you could to get the attention of Jesus to heal you too? I just dont understand why they all let him pass them by. And then I wonder how often I do this? How often is Jesus right there and I just have become so numb or blind that I just let him pass me by?
So I just wonder your thoughts on this?
Thanks-
Kristy

Nicely put, did you write this yourself??? I think it is beautiful coming from you especially because you are beautiful and well educated and I know that you never look down on anyone. Thank you for your example!! :)

That is so true! No matter what the person looks like or what he/she did, we are to show them love.

What we do to the least of them, we do to Jesus.

well said we should see Jesus through the good the bad and the ugly.

it's just hard to see, when you're around a group of people that are there for the moment, for the night's highlight or just in the moment of a huge break through, which brings me to a question, how many break through's can one really have in full truth? it seems to me as of late I'm surrounded by people that finally see the light then drift off then back on again. to me it's either you're in or your out, none of this wishy-washy shinanegry, but then again I remind myself that I'm... that we humans are not perfect and sometimes we wander and rely on our own strength and I'm NOT patient like HE is.

it could just be with the new turn around I've made; I'm seeing the people I've been surrounding myself with & I'm getting annoyed. ^^;

the transition between my life before and now is difficult....

thanks for the reminder,

take care and god bless

Bianca

Your words seem to remind me of what we need to take strength from. Thank you for being, well you and delivering messages in a term that is good for everyone to take what they can from it.

Whoa, thanks for the affirmation guys!

I just have been really thinking about this since reading Crazy Love (Francis Chan). He doesn't explicitly mention this, but I walked away from the book with this desire to look and treat people like they were Jesus. If I do, then I've totally loved on them.

@anonymous: Yes, I wrote that. Gosh, I'm blushing.

@Kristy: Great insight--it's totally true. We pray for things and don't expect them to occur. But prayer/healing/answers all come from the Lord.
